Jamie Lee Curtis paid an emotional tribute to her longtime friend and former co-star Richard Lewis following his death at age 76. The beloved comedian and actor, best known for his work on Curb Your Enthusiasm, reportedly passed away from a heart attack.
Curtis, 65, shared her grief on Instagram after learning of his passing. Alongside several nostalgic photographs from their years working together, she reflected on the profound impact Lewis had on her life. The pair starred opposite one another in the sitcom Anything But Love, which aired for four seasons between 1989 and 1992.
In her heartfelt message, Curtis revealed that Lewis played a significant role in her journey to sobriety, describing him as someone who deeply influenced her life. Having recently celebrated 25 years of sobriety herself, she expressed gratitude for their friendship and the support he gave her over the years.
Looking back on their time together, Curtis fondly remembered the casting process for Anything But Love and spoke about Lewis’s remarkable talent, humor, and generosity. She also shared a touching tribute featuring lyrics from the show’s theme song, accompanied by an old photograph of the two friends.
The lyrics reflected on how different life might have been had two people never crossed paths, emphasizing themes of friendship, fate, and lasting connection. Curtis encouraged fans to revisit the song, explaining that it held special meaning as she remembered Lewis.
